De Zalze Golf Club
De Zalze has made itself a name over the past few years in the golf scene. The 19th hole being in a wine cellar, it is definitely one of a kind and can be proud of its luxurious clubhouse (having the biggest thatch roof in the whole of South Africa). Besides wine you will find plenty of water – the pretty Blaauwklippen-stream winds its way in and out of the golf course, more often than not determining the direction of the game. Two ponds and two lakes, making it extremely interesting, further influence the course. Fairways and greens are tended to meticulously, so De Zalze is an absolute must. You will probably remember hole no. 18 and 13 (Par 3/ 4) having sunk a few of your precious golf balls in the depths of dark blue water.
